Terms and Conditions (T&C)

  1. Corporate Information

This Agreement is entered into by and between the Student and Fast Forward Fluency, a business entity registered under CNPJ No. 43.063.620/0001-82, with its registered office at Rua Maria Grazia da Silva 207, Bl2 Ap301, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, Brazil. The legal representative of the company is Diana Larsen Tiellet.

2. General Provisions

By enrolling in and attending classes at “Fast Forward Fluency,” the Student hereby acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms govern all services provided by the institution, including but not limited to instructional sessions, educational materials, and official communications.

3. Make-up Class Policy

  • Individual Students: Students are entitled to one (1) make-up class per month, provided that notice of absence is submitted at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.
  • Instructor Absence: In the event an instructor is unable to attend a scheduled session, the Student shall be entitled to a make-up class at a mutually agreed-upon date and time.
  • Group Classes: Students enrolled in group sessions are not entitled to make-up classes for missed sessions.

4. Holidays, Vacations, and Recess

  • Public Holidays: Classes coinciding with Brazilian national holidays shall be canceled. Should more than one holiday occur within the same calendar month, Students shall be entitled to make-up sessions starting from the second holiday onwards.
  • Student Vacation: Students intending to take a leave of absence must provide at least one (1) month’s prior notice.
  • Year-End Recess: The institution shall observe a one-week recess during the Christmas and New Year period (December). No make-up classes will be offered for sessions falling within this period.
  • Instructor Vacation: In the event of instructor leave, Students will be notified one (1) month in advance, and a substitute instructor will be designated to maintain instructional continuity.

5. Delivery Platforms

  • Instructional sessions will be conducted via Zoom or a comparable video conferencing platform.
  • Course materials and supplementary resources will be shared with Students via WhatsApp.

6. Technical Requirements for Online Instruction

  • For an optimal learning experience, Students are required to have a computer equipped with a stable internet connection and a functional webcam.
  • While mobile devices may be utilized in exceptional circumstances, the use of a quiet environment free from interruptions is strongly recommended to ensure pedagogical efficacy.

7. Educational Materials

  • The materials utilized during sessions may include proprietary content or resources sourced from third-party online platforms, both specialized and non-specialized in English Language Teaching (ELT).
  • The instructor shall provide a comprehensive Study Plan, including activity suggestions, strategies for daily language immersion, and a curated list of digital resources (websites, applications, and media channels).

8. Communication Protocols

  • Students may communicate directly with their instructor via WhatsApp for clarifications, academic assistance, and general guidance regarding the English learning process.
  • Group class Students will be granted access to an exclusive WhatsApp group designated for their specific cohort.

9. Cancellation of Enrollment

Students wishing to terminate their enrollment must provide at least one (1) month’s prior notice to facilitate administrative processing.

10. Modification of Enrollment

  • Upgrades: Students may upgrade their program or increase their credit hours at any time, subject to availability. Upgrades incur no administrative fees; however, the tuition rate for the new modality will be applied starting from the subsequent billing cycle.
  • Downgrades: To reduce a plan or decrease weekly hours, a minimum of thirty (30) days’ notice is required. Downgrades are subject to availability and will take effect in the following billing cycle. Failure to provide the requisite thirty-day notice will result in the Student being billed at the original rate until the conclusion of the thirty-day notice period.

11. Payment Terms and Conditions

  • Payment Methods: Payments are accepted via PIX or Credit Card.
  • Credit Card Surcharge: Payments made via credit card are subject to a 4% processing fee added to the total amount.
  • Discounts and Incentives:
    • Monthly Payments: No discounts applicable.
    • Quarterly Payments: 5% discount on the total amount.
    • Semi-Annual Payments: 8% discount on the total amount.
    • Annual Payments: Two (2) months free of charge (equivalent to a 16.7% discount on the total annual amount).

12. Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with enrollment, the Student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all rights and obligations set forth herein. Any amendments to these terms will be communicated to Students in advance, and continued participation in the services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
